“It’s great to have a good result to show for our teams efforts this weekend,” explained Jason after the race. “We were able to stay on the lead lap all day long which was key, and put us in position to run for a strong finish in the closing laps. I’m so proud of my guys for all the hard work they put in this week out here in the heat. They have been working on the race car since Tuesday here in Phoenix so it’s great to give them a good finish.”
Jason’s 17th place run marked the second top-20 finish this year at Phoenix for himself and the team. It was also Jason’s 17th top-20 finish of the season. Bowles still remains 13th in the driver standings following the weekend.
“We had a good time this weekend with everyone from 505 Southwestern Chile Sauces,” said Bowles. “I got to try out some of their sauces yesterday and they were really good. We also had Honor and Remember on the hood for Veteran’s Day. I’m glad we can use our race team here to promote some great organizations and causes like we have been doing this season. I’m so thankful for all of the service men and women around the world and everything they do to protect us back home.”
With his 17th place run, Jason earned the Featherlite Most Improved Driver Award as well, improving 16 position from last weekend’s race at Texas.
Next week marks the final race of the season in the NASCAR Nationwide Series. The Ford 300 from Homestead-Miami Speedway can be seen live on ESPN, Saturday at 4PM ET. Cheer on Jason as he welcomes Thrush & Son Complete Home Improvement back to the MacDonald Motorsports No. 81.
