A pair of bouts have been added to the undercard of the UFC’s fifth venture on the Fox. At featherweight, Dennis Siver will take on Eddie Yagin along with John Albert taking on Scott Jorgensen at bantamweight. UFC officials announced the pairings on Thursday.
The featherweight scrap between Siver and Yagin is the last of the canceled UFC 151 fights to be rescheduled. The German fighter made a successful featherweight debut at “UFC on FUEL TV 2″ against Diego Nunes. Yagin is coming off his first UFC victory against Mark Hominick at UFC 145.
Washington-native John Albert will likely be fighting for his UFC career as he takes on former contender Scott Jorgensen. The Ultimate Fighter 14 veteran has dropped two straight fights since defeating Dustin Pague at “TUF 14 Live Finale.” Jorgensen has also dropped two straight to Eddie Wineland and current interim champ Renan Barão. The former Boise State wrestler is 2-2 since joining the UFC after the WEC was absorbed by the UFC.
“UFC on Fox 5″ will take place December 8 live from the Key Arena in Seattle, Washington. The four-fight main card will be headlined by a UFC lightweight title fight between champion Benson Henderson and Nate Diaz.
