Stricter rules

I think that we need stricter rules for subforums except the asylum. I have tried to recruit some of my facebook friends to ns.net and they do check out the site but then don't post because of the stupid trolling. There are many forums which have really strict rules but still get great traffic. Traffic seems to be largely dependent on content and not necessarily lax rules. Freedom of speech is a moot point since this is a private forum run for profit. I know that you used to troll sherdog for fun(maybe you still do) but it does not logically follow that there has to be trolling in this forum too. My personal experience also has been that serious forums with strict rules are much more enjoyable. I would encourage you to yourself visit any such forum and experience it first hand. It would be hypocritical of me to say that I'm only saying this for your benefit only because there is definitely my selfish interest that I want to have intelligent serious conversations for my own enjoyment and I presume that It would also be good for the site. The problem is that trolling is infectious and even many intelligent posters succumb to it because that seems to be the norm. I myself have succumbed to it on many occasions and I would like to change my ways. Think about it for sometime and then decide. If you do agree to make stricter rules and need help in formulating them, let me know, I would be more than happy to be of assistance. If not then I completely understand. However, if so be the case then I would not be using this site anymore because frankly it is turning into a haven for infants who look at things from only their point of view and attack others when they disagree with them and that too very childishly without any fear of consequences. I refuse to associate myself with such juvenile, egocentric behavior.
To the trolls - If you plan to reply to this thread with ad hominem, tu quoque and straw man arguments, I assure you that posting in this site has made me immune to all of them so if I were you I wouldn't even bother.
