36-year old Kazuo Misaki has entertained fans around the world for the last eleven years, showcasing his skills in a number of organizations including Pancrase, PRIDE, and Strikeforce. However, it looks like Misaki’s run in the ring has come to an end after news surfaced stating “The Hitman” has decided to hang up his gloves and call it a career.
Asian MMA was first to report Misaki’s retirement, citing the questionable future of Strikeforce as prompting the Japanese icon’s decision. Misaki’s last fight came under the company’s banner where he scored a significant upset by outpointing Paul Daley.
Misaki compiled a 25-11-2 record during his time in MMA with fifteen finishes. Among his numerous victories are those over the likes of Joe Riggs, Ed Herman, Denis Kang, and Dan Henderson. He also exits the sport on a three-fight winning streak.
Fortunately for fans, Misaki plans to fight one final time this December at a DEEP event in Japan.
