Lotus owner Gerard Lopez has paid £22,000 for a pair of gloves worn by the late Ayrton Senna during his title-winning 1991 campaign.
The gloves were auctioned in aid of the Grand Prix Mechanics Charitable Trust at a Motor Sport Magazine Hall of Fame event in London on Monday night.
The framed gloves had been donated by former McLaren team co-ordinator Jo Ramirez.
The auction raised a total of £92,000 for grand prix mechanics.
