Front-running European Formula 3 Championship squad Mucke Motorsport has signed Roy Nissany for the coming season.
The 18-year-old Israeli was a race winner for Mucke in ADAC Formel Masters on his way to ninth in the championship last year, and makes the step-up to F3 alongside Australian Mitchell Gilbert.
His father, Chanoch, raced in Formula 3000 in 2004 and also performed Friday test duties at the Hungarian Grand Prix for Minardi the following year.
“I’m proud of being a part of the Mucke Motorsport family,” Nissany said.
“Even more so as it is the squad that has been accompanying me throughout my car-racing career.
“We had an efficient winter test and I’m ready for the new challenge.”
Rival team Ma-con Motorsport has signed Andre Rudersdorf as its first driver for 2013.
Rudersdorf, 17, won a pair of F3 titles last year, winning the Austrian title overall and also triumphing in the German F3 national class.
