NEWTON, Iowa – January 15, 2013) Iowa Speedway officials announced today that advance tickets to the track’s ‘7th Annual Daytona 500 Party’ on Sunday, February 24 are now on sale for $10 per person. Doors are scheduled to open at 11 am, with the Fox television broadcast of The Great American Race beginning at noon.
Held in the venue’s upscale Newton Club since the inaugural event in 2007, the 2013 edition of the ‘Daytona 500 Party’ will offer party-goers numerous television screens throughout the 10,000 square foot facility to watch the 55th Daytona 500, including strategically placed big screen TV’s. Everyone in attendance will receive a special ticket for a chance to win door prizes, and a car number from among the Daytona 500 entries for more chances to win gift baskets and other merchandise.
“Our ‘Daytona 500 Party’ has become a tradition among many Iowa Speedway fans, and they consider it to be the launch of our upcoming season” said Jason Christofferson, Director of Ticketing Operations. “We’ve received a lot of calls from our customers, wondering when tickets to the party would be on sale, so I’m pleased to announce that we have them available five weeks prior to the Daytona 500.”
