Andy Priaulx will make his Daytona 24 Hours debut next weekend, driving a BMW in the GT class of the famous race.
The BMW DTM driver, who also has three World Touring Car Championship titles to his name, has joined Turner Motorsport to drive one of its M3 machines.
The 39-year-old Briton will share his car with Maxime Martin, who was recently confirmed as BMW’s DTM test driver alongside his American Le Mans Series programme. Bill Auberlen, Michael Marsal and Gunter Schaldach will also drive.
“I love 24-hour races and so for me to add the iconic Daytona event to those I have competed in is a very exciting proposition,” Priaulx said.
“It is a race I have always followed from afar and so to be able to drive there this year with Turner Motorsport is a fantastic opportunity.
“The icing on the cake is that it will be in a BMW and I want to thank BMW Motorsport for allowing me to accept this invitation.”
Martin and Auberlen have also been entered in the sister car, which will be driven by GT regulars Paul Dalla Lana, Billy Johnson and Boris Said.
