MotoGP will hold an additional test at Termas de Rio Hondo in July ahead of the Argentinian circuit’s debut on the calendar in 2014.
The venue was supposed to host MotoGP’s return to Argentina this year, but it was postponed amid the row over the country’s nationalisation of its arm of Honda sponsor Repsol.
A selection of MotoGP riders, including representatives of all three works squads, have been invited to Argentina from July 1-5.
They will carry out promotional activities as well as having a two day official test at Termas de Rio Hondo.
This is the first time in recent years that an official test has been held at a new venue in advance of its MotoGP debut, although Yamaha and Honda arranged a private test at Austin last month.
The Texan track will host round two of the 2013 world championship on April 19-21.
The Argentina test comes at a busy time for MotoGP teams.
Those involved will fly out immediately after the Dutch TT on June 29, then return for the German Grand Prix on July 12-14 before heading back across the Atlantic for the US GP at Laguna Seca the following weekend.
