The E-class is getting a refresh for 2014, and one of the biggest exterior design changes comes in the form of new, single-pod headlights; now, we’ve gotten a closer look at these new peepers thanks to Benz’s YouTube channel. Mercedes released a video previewing the updated sedan’s new, LED-laced headlights, and they’re pretty darn cool-looking, if a little Audi-esque.

Recently, Spanish publication Autofácil caught a 2014 E-class naked and out in the open; there are a raft of other changes, but the switch from the current E-class’s pair of dual-pod lights to more-C-class-like single-podders will be the most noticeable. As is clear from the video (embedded below), the new lights still will incorporate a quad-headlight look; four LED-laced lamps—two on either side of the grille—get an aggressive, angular design that’s easily among the most modern in Benz’s current lineup.
