what was with all the "bigfoot is a huge underdog" talk from anyk and florian?

that had me scratching my head for a while. if you completely ignore his entire career before coming to the UFC, sure he's an underdog. what the hell has browne ever done to even remotely be considered the favorite? he had a nice run, but not against anybody particularly great.
