INDIANAPOLIS, Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 – The racing and business worlds will collide on Friday, October 19th at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway when Sarah Fisher hosts a meeting of the National Women’s Business Council (NWBC) at the iconic track.

Members of the NWBC took note of Fisher’s seamless transition from race car driver to successful IZOD IndyCar Series team owner, and she was appointed to serve a three year term on the Council last fall.

The NWBC is a nonpartisan federal government council that reports directly to the President of the United States, Congress and the US Small Business Administration on economic issues of importance to women business owners. The NWBC conducts innovative research projects to translate the findings into recommendations that can help the President and Congress shape policy.

The elite group is comprised of 15 of the most influential business women in the US.

Fisher will host the Council on the grounds of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway when it meets to promote initiatives that support women’s business enterprises at all stages of development in the public and private sector.
